Responsibilities
- Configure GA4 properly, events, conversions, audiences (not just defaults)
- Build cross-channel dashboards in Looker Studio blending ads, email, ecommerce, and CRM data
- Set up conversion tracking: GA4 events, Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion actions, Tag Manager basics
- Maintain UTM discipline and document naming conventions across client accounts
- Pull and structure weekly/monthly KPI reports with written analysis, not just numbers
- Diagnose attribution discrepancies between platform-reported and actual revenue
- Maintain KPI hierarchies and dashboard structures the team can trust over time
Not responsible for
- SQL queries, Python, or data warehousing (handled by Data Scientist, Beam doesn't place this role)
- Optimizing inside ad platforms (handled by Paid Media Specialist)
- Strategic decisions or fractional CMO-level recommendations
- Building custom analytics infrastructure or backend data pipelines
- Acting as the agency's single source of truth on attribution strategy

Beam Reporting & Analytics Specialists work in platform reporting, dashboards (Looker Studio, Triple Whale), and attribution tools, they configure GA4 properly, blend data across ad platforms and CRMs, and turn raw numbers into written analysis. They don't write SQL queries against a warehouse, build ML models, or set up custom backend data pipelines. If you need data science work, that's a different role Beam doesn't currently place. If you need real, agency-grade reporting that doesn't require a senior strategist to produce, this is the role.
